Bitcoin strategic reserve: Trump is preparing an important announcement

US President Donald Trump intends to announce the creation of a strategic reserve of Bitcoin during a crypto summit, which will take place on March 7 at the White House. This was announced by Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnik in an interview with Pavlovic Today.

According to him, the formation of the reserve has become one of the key initiatives that Trump showed interest in during the pre-election period. Now this idea is approaching implementation, and the details of the future project will be revealed on Friday.

Lutnik also noted that the US administration considers cryptocurrencies as a strategically important asset, but the approach to different digital assets will vary. In particular, the government is ready to single out Bitcoin as a separate category, while other cryptocurrencies, including Ethereum, may be regulated differently. Nevertheless, the general vector remains positive.

Earlier, on March 2, Trump already announced his intention to create a US cryptocurrency reserve based on Bitcoin and Ethereum. He said the initiative is designed to strengthen the country's position in the digital economy and turn it into a global hub for the crypto industry. He is expected to present a more detailed plan explaining how the reserve will work and the administration's next steps in the digital asset space during his upcoming speech.
