French luxury department store Printemps has become the first major European retailer to accept cryptocurrency as a means of payment. Now, visitors to 20 stores in France can pay for stylish clothing, accessories, and other premium goods using digital assets.

The introduction of cryptocurrency payments was made possible thanks to cooperation with the French platform Lyzi, which uses the Binance Pay solution. This partnership highlights Printemps’ commitment to keeping up with current technological trends and expanding the capabilities of its customers.

Representatives of the department store noted that the new payment method will cover more than 6.5 million French cryptocurrency users. The solution will ensure fast, secure, and convenient transaction processing, making the shopping process more comfortable for both crypto enthusiasts and traditional customers.

Experts believe that this initiative could be a turning point for European payment systems. Despite the active development of the cryptocurrency industry in North America and Asia, the European Union remains behind in terms of the adoption of digital currencies in the mass economy. Printemps' actions can push European companies to adapt crypto payments, as well as stimulate regulators to create favorable conditions for their use.
